Hosts who book a Santa Claus for hire in the St. Louis area often add Mrs. Claus or elves so there are more faces in the pictures.
Mrs. Claus for hire and elves for hire are add-ons. They walk in with Santa and leave with him.
Mrs. Claus for Hire
She stands in the hallway by the slim tree, in the red dress and the printed apron. She greets families, talks with the younger or shy children while others take their turn, and poses with Santa.
Older houses with front porches in Webster Groves, Glendale, and University City are a fine setting for Santa and Mrs. Claus together. An office lobby can take elves at the door if the line will be long.
Elves for Hire and Santa Helpers
If you would like the elves to hand out candy canes, set a box on a table before they arrive. The elves keep the photo line moving, hand out what you provide, and help the little ones up to Santa.
Add them for larger parties, long photo lines, and open houses. Nutcrackers on stilts need a tall ceiling, and a downtown lobby is the right kind of room for them.
Mrs. Claus is the right add-on when you want a second adult in the red for the shy kids, the grandparents, and the group pictures. She stands beside him for the family shots and talks with children who are waiting.
Elves help most when the line is long enough that parents start checking the time. They can hand out what you set on the table and keep the next child ready so Santa can stay seated for the pictures.
Open houses and subdivision parties are the nights when both add-ons earn their keep, because people arrive over a long stretch and the pictures keep coming. A living room with six kids can skip them and still have a full visit.
If you want Mrs. Claus only, ask for her on the call. If you want elves only, ask for them. The date you give is the date for Santa, and the extras walk in with him.
A ranch family room is a fine height for Mrs. Claus and elves. Stilts need the taller lobby or hall. Ask when you book if you want the nutcrackers.
